what經(jīng)常用來(lái)表示“什麽”，
cook有“烹饪、做飯(fàn)”的意思。
但老外跟你說(shuō)“What's cooking”，
可不是問(wèn)你“煮什麽(me)好吃的”！
01. What's cooking?
在做什麽？在忙什麽？
發生什麽事？
老外經常用它來打招呼，
相當(dāng)於(yú)我們常說的“最近在忙什麽”。
【例句】
A：Hi! Susan. What's cooking?
嗨！蘇(sū)珊，最近在忙什麽(me)？
B：Nothing.
Anything happening with you?
沒(méi)什麽(me)。你最近怎麽(me)樣？
此外，見(jiàn)面打招呼問對(duì)方“最近怎樣”，
還可以這樣說 ：
“What's up？”
最近怎樣？過得好嗎？

真正的意思是：
什麽(me)事把你惹瞭(le)？誰惹你瞭(le)？

不要理解成“你的牛肉怎麽(me)樣(yàng)”，
實際(jì)表示 ：你爲什麽(me)不高興？

一整天都很生氣。
04. What's his face?
不是說“他的臉(liǎn)長(zhǎng)什麽樣？”
而是表示：他叫什麽名字來(lái)著(zhe)？

他叫什麽名字來著，
那個穿黃色襯衫的男孩？
Have you seen what's his face?
見到那個誰瞭嗎？
05. What's the big idea?
不是問(wèn)你“這是什麽(me)大主意？”
真正的意思是：
你想幹什麽？什麽意思？
你爲什麽這麽做！

不要關電視，
我正在看呢，
