open是打開的意思，light是燈，那“開燈”就是“open the light”嗎？

這是很多人都容易犯的錯誤，英語怎麽表達“開燈”？

1.英語裏的“開燈”
“open”有“開”的意思，但它更多的是指原本閉合的物體，把它從中間打開
，比如：
open the book 翻開書
open the door 開門
open the window 開窗
這個“開”的反義詞，一般用close，意思是“關閉、合上”，所以“合上書本”是“close the book”，“關上門”是“close the door”。

“turn on”也是“打開”，不過它還有一層意思是“啓動或開啓某個設備系統”。
所以一般電器或者電子設備的“打開”要用“turn on”，
比如：
turn on the light 開燈
turn on the computer 開電腦
turn on the TV 開電視

而它的反義詞是“turn off”，所以“關燈”就是“turn off the light”。

2.英語裏的這些“開”
在中文裏“開”是萬能的，但是在英語裏，不同的“開”有各自對應的動詞，除瞭open、turn on，還有下面這些英語裏的“開”，一定不要用錯哦~

開會：hold a meeting
開車
：drive a car
開店：keep a shop
擰開瓶蓋：twist off the cap
揭開酸奶：peel off the yogurt
撕開包裝袋：tear open the package
翻開蓋子：flip up the lid
打開密封袋：unzip the bag
