open是打開(kāi)的意思，light是燈(dēng)，那“開(kāi)燈(dēng)”就是“open the light”嗎？
這是很多人都容易犯的錯(cuò)誤 ，英語怎麽表達(dá)“開燈”？
1.英語裏的“開(kāi)燈(dēng)”
“open”有“開”的意思 ，但它更多的是指原本閉(bì)合的物體，把它從(cóng)中間打開，比如：
open the book 翻開(kāi)書(shū)
open the door 開(kāi)門(mén)
open the window 開(kāi)窗
這個“開”的反義詞，一般用close，意思是“關閉、合上”，所以“合上書本”是“close the book”，“關上門”是“close the door”。
“turn on”也是“打開”，不過它還有一層(céng)意思是“啓動或開啓某個設備(bèi)系統”。
所以一般電器或者電子設備的“打開”要用“turn on”，
比如：
turn on the light 開(kāi)燈(dēng)
turn on the computer 開(kāi)電(diàn)腦
turn on the TV 開(kāi)電(diàn)視
而它的反義詞(cí)是“turn off”，所以“關燈(dēng)”就是“turn off the light”。
2.英語裏(lǐ)的這些“開(kāi)”
在中文裏“開”是萬能的，但是在英語裏，不同的“開”有各自對應的動詞(cí)，除瞭(le)open、turn on，還有下面這些英語裏的“開”，一定不要用錯哦~

擰開(kāi)瓶蓋(gài)：twist off the cap

撕開(kāi)包裝(zhuāng)袋：tear open the package
翻開(kāi)蓋(gài)子：flip up the lid
